What are the Vitamins Helpful to Prevent Mouth Ulcers?

Mouth ulcers or canker sores mostly occur on the inner cheek, tongue, floor of the mouth and sometimes on the throat. They usually appear as single, rarely they appear 2 or 3 at a time which causes more pain.

They seem to start by themselves as a small bubble which then becomes an open ulcerated mouth sore. Sometimes it can be caused by the biting of the inner cheeks. The mouth ulcers or canker sores made worse pain while eating and drinking. Severe ulcers cause to avoid eating and drinking to sufferers.

The good thing about these mouth sores is that they are not contagious and not infectious. These can be caused due to several factors. There is no specific reason behind causing mouth sores.

Vitamin B12 deficiency may lead to mouth sores. So the supplements of vitamin B12 should be received to get rid of mouth sores. It has been recovered that 1000 mcg dose of vitamin B12 is useful in preventing canker sores.

Vitamin B2 helps to repair and thus helps in the development of body tissues, including the skin, immune and nervous systems.

Vitamin B7 deficiency leads to rashes around the mouth and thus develops in to a sore. So it is important to have the supplements of vitamin B7 as well.

It is important to boost the immune system as well. These include vitamins C, A and Zinc as well as herbs like wild indigo and echinacea.

In addition, folic acid (B9) and thiamine (B1) are also the two vitamins which play a vital role in preventing or curing mouth ulcers.
