Among the most important auto shows, Detroit auto show is a popular one, which is held in North America. Among the North American Auto shows, Detriot Auto show is one of the largest one.
This auto Show is also called as North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) and Cabo Center of Michigan is the venue for this auto show.
Initially for the first time, Detroit auto show was held at Bellers beer garden at Riverside Park in 1907. This show had an importance because the metro Detriot is the location of the head quarters of the major American Auto makers Chrysler, Ford and General Motors. Revenue of $500 was generated because of this auto show.
Every year during the month of January, this show is conducted. If we consider the 2010 auto show, this was been held during the period January 10-23. This time period includes Press previews, industry previews, Charity previews. At the end of completion of this shows, public can view the debuts in the auto show.
During this shows many types of cars are introduced. In general, the production cars as well as the concept cars will be introduced in this Auto shows.
Coming to the Production car introductions. There are different types of production cars which were introduced during the year 2010. Some of them are 2011 BMW 740i/Li(North American debut), 2011 BMW Z4 s Drive 35is, 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe, 2011 Fiat 500, 2012 Ford Focus, 2011 Ford Mustang GT, 2011 Ford Mustang Boss 302R etc.
Coming to the concept car introductions, different types of cars were introduced some of them were Audi e-ron Detroit Show car, BMW Concept ActiveE, Buick Regal GS, Cadillac XTS Platinum, Chevrolet Aveo RS etc.
